“When Wrongs are Confessed”
God knows all about you. There is nowhere you can go to escape His presence. God knows the good things you’ve done as well as the times you’ve broken His law.
“Sin is the same as breaking God’s law” (1 John 3:4). When you choose Jesus to be Lord of your life, all the things you have done that displease God- past, present, and future- are forgiven. God dislikes the breaking of His laws, but He loves you.
Jesus came to save people from the consequences of their wrong actions.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death” (Romans 8:1-2 )
~Dirt in a drainage pipe blocks the flow. Wrongs that are not confessed block the spiritual flow between you and God~
Talk to God about the things you have done that displeased Him. He wants you to agree with Him that breaking His laws is wrong and brings harm to you and others. When you realize that, you are ready to turn to a better way of life. God and you will be on the same page!
Confess, so that the answers to your prayers will not be delayed. The psalmist wrote: “If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened” (Psalm 66:18).
Confession is necessary to show God that you agree with Him. God promises forgiveness to those who seek Him and confess their faults. Confessing your wrongs to God gets rid of the static in your spiritual connection. God’s answers to your prayers will flow freely.
Salvation Prayer
Repeat after me… Dear Father, I am sorry for my sins. and I ask you to forgive me. I open the door of my heart and receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Take control of my life and begin making me the person you want me to be. I fully believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose on the third day. Thank you Jesus for saving me from death. When I leave this world, I will live for eternity in heaven. I’m saved from hell. In Jesus’ name amen.
